Drew Mcyintyre required 16 Staples after HIAC Match with CM Punk

CM Punk used a metal toolbox to blast Drew McIntyre on his head during their Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood Saturday night (Sat., Oct. 5, 2024) at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. It was a brutal shot, and McIntyre was pouring blood immediately after.

As it turns out, it opened a cut so bad it required Drew McIntyre to receive 16 staples to close it. He shared a picture of as much on social media yesterday:

There’s certainly an argument to be made that we shouldn’t be encouraging spots where guys are taking legitimate headshots from a toolbox that does that much damage, no matter if the match type is designed for this level of violence. I won’t argue anyone making that case either.

They also put together an unreal spectacle befitting the stipulation, and it was easily one of the best Hell in a Cell matches of all time. They wanted to make it memorable and they did just that.
