Izzi Dame turns on Tatum Paxley, and Jacy Jayne is the NXT women’s champion once more

Throughout much of this week’s episode of NXT television, it sure looked like the first week of the “Gold Rush” would go by without a title change. Ethan Page & Chelsea Green retained the AAA Mixed tag team titles, Zaria threw in the towel on Sol Ruca to keep the North American championship with Blake Monroe, and DarkState took care of business against Leon Slater & Je’Von Evans to stay tag team champions.
And then the main event happened, and we learned a valuable lesson, or at least got reminded of one — there are no friends in NXT, not really:
Tatum Paxley won the women’s championship at Halloween Havoc but she couldn’t keep it for even a full month. That’s because Izzi Dame turned on her — likely still upset at being looked over in the wake of the aforementioned Halloween Havoc win — and opened the door for Jacy Jayne to become a 2x NXT Women's Champion and put Fatal Influence back on top of the NXT women’s division.
Paxley will have to deal with the fallout from her Culling stablemates turning against her as we head for Deadline and Iron Survivor Challenge matches to determine future title contenders
