Joe Hendry is one step closer to reaching the dream of winning the TNA World Title.
Hendry had to work his back up the ladder to get this shot, and he earned it by winning a #1 contender match at Final Resolution (Dec. 13, 2024). Hendry competed in a four-way contest against Josh Alexander, Steve Maclin, and Mike Santana.
Fire up the highlight reel for a doomsday flying neckbreaker from Santana to Alexander with help from Maclin and Hendry.
Hendry had some sweet moves leaping over the ropes like a track and field high jump to land on the pile below.
In the end, Alexander was up to no good. He zip-tied Santana’s wrist to the barricade to eliminate him from contention. Meanwhile in the ring, Maclin hit a shoulder tackle to Hendry in the Tree of Woe. Alexander took advantage for a low blow kick to Maclin. As Alexander confidently set up the C4 spike piledriver on Maclin, Hendry reemerged to goozle Alexander for the Standing Ovation slam to win.
Hendry will receive his world title shot at the Genesis PPV on January 19.
Say his name, and he appears. Joe Hendry, future TNA world champion.
