NXT to launch new show Summer of 2025 called NXT Evolve

A new report has indicated that WWE will revive a previously independent brand for a new show.

Ahead of WWE Raw’s move to Netflix, the company announced that their NXT Level Up show was being canceled.

The show, which airs on Peacock and the WWE Network, usually films before the live broadcast of NXT and features some up-and-coming stars on the developmental brand. The program is scheduled to be replaced by the company’s WWE LFG show, which is set to premiere in 2025 on A&E.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that NXT Level Up is being replaced by a show called “NXT Evolve.” Meltzer wrote:

“Level Up is being replaced by something called NXT Evolve, although not at the start of the year. We’ve heard to expect it in a few months.”

“It’s a Gabe Sapolsky project and essentially would be people in developmental but not on NXT television regularly, like Level Up. I think that instead of just matches, do angles and promos and book it more like a television show. It will be shown taped only for television/streaming”

Sapolsky, who will reportedly be working on NXT Evolve, was notably a founder of the original Evolve Wrestling, which held its first show in 2010.

Evolve went on to form a working relationship with WWE before WWE purchased the company in July 2020.

It remains to be seen when NXT Evolve will make its premiere at the time of this writing.
