This past week on the April 10th edition of AEW Dynamite, the young bucks discussed the situation that happened this past August at AEW All in with CM Punk & Jack Perry. It had been promoted since late Sunday Night not long after WrestleMania had gone off the air. It's reported Tony Khan made this decision as a response to CM Punk's comments in regards to AEW on the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani. As seen below, the video that was released last night during AEW Dynamite.
See we wouldn't have such a bad taste in our mouth about this....if it wasn't done as backlash and was released when the situation initially occurred. Instead, they decided to release it the week after WrestleMania to try and make CM Punk look bad on national television when in reality....all he did was make himself look immature and childish. If you've been watching AEW for some time as we have, then you already know that Tony Khan has a history of going on rants on Twitter when others criticize his company or business ethics.....this I feel was a step wayyyyyy too far.

What Tony is failing to realize currently is that if there is anyone in the wrestling business that you DO NOT want to go into a "1up" battle with.....its CM Punk. He just gave Drew McIntyre tons of material to work with now on CM Punk that will most likely get worked into his promos. Now that WWE is under the new "Paul Levesque" Era, things are a bit more "chill" in the WWE. You don't think he's gonna allow CM Punk to go on National TV just to clap back? This was hands down the most WCW move that AEW has ever done, the situation was 6 months ago and it should of been left there.

This also did not sit well with most of the AEW Roster & Personnel backstage. Those close to producers and backstage creatives within AEW Reported that most talent just wanted that to be remembered as a bump in the road and stay in the past. They thought releasing the video 6 months later brought back bad memories and it will leave a bad taste in there audience's mouth from a moral & professional standpoint. Tony Khan just continues to prove that he truly is an overgrown man-child when it comes to acting like.a businessman and not a fan.
But what are your thoughts on this entire situation? Do you believe it to be justified or should Tony Khan put his big boy pants on and move on? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
